As the granddaughter of a New York baker, I have always loved the magic of baking and the joy food brings to people. I used to bake frequently but the hustle and bustle of life put baking on the back burner (pun intended) for a while until the pandemic. I was introduced to this amazing group of challah bakers in the Facebook group "Hallah for Challah." I became mesmerized by the amazing creations and decided to start baking when my daughter went away to college in August 2020.
It was never my intention to sell my challah but was baking more than my husband and I could eat! One weekend one of his golf buddies suggested I sell my challah and here we are 3 months later and over 200 challah made!!! I also make babka and bagels too.
